We look forward to welcoming back students on August 31, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year. As A Place for All and with Pathways for All, Foothills School Division provides quality learning opportunities for students from junior kindergarten (preschool) through to grade 12. 

Below is information to help you be prepared for the school year ahead. 

Registration

It is not too late to register with FSD for the upcoming school year.

Important Dates

  • August 15 - Homeroom and course schedules are posted on Edsembli
  • August 21 - School office team members available by phone and email
  • August 28 - Optional student learning transition day. Please connect with your school for details.
  • August 31 - First day of classes for all students
  • September 7 - Statutory Holiday


Transportation

If you plan to ride the school bus, please apply as soon as possible.  All passengers must re-apply each year to secure their seat. Applications received after June 19 may not be processed until after the school year starts.

School Supply Lists


Many of our schools have signed up with SchoolStart.ca to help parents shop for school supplies. Supplies are shipped directly to your home or to the school. To get started visit schoolstart.ca: 

    1. Click on the “Parents Shop Here” 
    2. “Purchase School Supply Kits” 
    3. Select from the drop down:   Province, City, then School
    4. Shop “SchoolStart.ca”  
    5. Select “Click Here to Purchase your School Kits” 
    6. Choose your child's Grade from the list
    7. Add to cart
